Italian Roast
Our darkest roast. Roasted until the natural oils are brought to the surface, but never “burnt”. Italian roast comes from the dark roasting style which is common in Southern Italy (coffees in Northern Italy are lighter). This is the richest, most intense, and darkest roast we offer. Ideal for home espresso machines.
Great option for a moka pot or other home espresso machine that does not have the pressure of a commercial machine. The profile is strong enough to get a good-tasting espresso without requiring the pressure to extract extra flavor.

Surprisingly after years of never being completely satisfied with the coffee we made at home and chasing memories of past coffees we'd stumbled upon in various places we landed on Passport and every experiment has yielded a good experience. After a recent trip through Italy we found the Italian Roast at Passport a good match for what we enjoyed in the southern half part of the country. It's dark, full, even "heavy" in just the right way. Yummm!
When it’s cold out side and you need that something special to get you going this is one of the best for that.
Been purchasing Italian Roast for years and it excellent. Full body but not harsh like Starbuck's coffee...
