Nguvu Kenyan Coffee Blend
Discover the rich, berry-forward flavors of Nguvu, a masterfully crafted blend sourced from smallholder cooperatives in the Murang’a district of Kenya’s Central Province. Known as the traditional home of the Kikuyu tribe, Murang’a’s high altitudes (1,350 to 1,800 masl) and vibrant red, loamy soil produce exceptionally juicy and flavorful coffees.
Nguvu is the result of collaboration among four cooperatives and mills: Ruthaka Kamuchuni, Ruthaka Mukui, Mwirua Riakiania, and Mwirua Kiambwe. These small co-ops are known for producing some of Kenya’s highest-quality coffees, often auctioned as separate lots at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange.
Graded as AA — Kenya’s top classification — Nguvu represents the best of the best, offering minimal defects while maintaining outstanding cup quality. The beans are carefully selected for their size and flavor, resulting in a coffee that exemplifies the unique terroir of Kenya’s Central Province.
Indulge in the vibrant, refreshing taste of Nguvu and experience the essence of Kenyan coffee craftsmanship in every sip.

Fabulous flavor, perfectly roasted—from a great company. I recommend Passport to anyone who loves coffee or tea.
I like to blend my own coffee and particularly like Passport’s Kenya AA. It is roasted as I like it and tastes like Kenya should! Passport has coffees from all around the world with lots of different growing environments represented. Well worth the visit, whether on line or in person. Try the Tanzania Yirgacheff as well for a different, interesting taste.
